Hi there, guys! I need to know how that new Google’s API fixes coordinates, I know that it doesn’t use GPS, so how does it work and how to block it?

New API Google Maps Geolocation really does not use GPS to obtain your position. The location technique is based on cell tower triangulation and the identification of the closest Wi-Fi hotspots. As long as the program uses Google’s databases and knows the coordinates of those hotspots it has the possibility to calculate yours. You may read more on it on our blog.



That is a really cool feature because it will surely work indoor and it will go easy on the battery. So, using that API you can expect your device to work longer without recharging. From another point of view that API opens a huge variety of possibilities for tracking, which will be much more effective than GPS tracking or cell phone tower triangulation tracking.



But there is a way to stop that API from obtaining your coordinates. To block that Google Maps Geolocation API you will need a very specific kind of a jammer and Jammer-Store Inc luckily has one!
